We got a foot of snow dumped on us during the night last night. There is a couple of things that I really like about this.
First, each of the times that we have gotten dumped on are days that we don't have to go anywhere. No work, no school, nothing. We just get to enjoy the winter wonderland, and drink hot cocoa.
Second: if you notice in our pictures each time it snows, there is a lot of activity going on outside. Neighbors all come out to shovel their walks, have snowball fights, and play in the snow. It is always a lot of fun.
I would take a fun snow day over another grey cold Michigan winter day anytime.

I AM jealous! We haven't had a snow day from school in about 7 years! We had a horrific white out, blowing, sleeting,miserable weather yesterday morning after school started and it cleared up by afternoon. The kids were all sorts of upset that they were denied a snow day - again.
We have been getting snow, but it comes in little spurts and not enough to really even make a decent snowman. chuck has been getting a little exercise clearing the drive- so that's good.
